Terraria

Terraria is an exploration game, similar to Minecraft in some ways. Many people refer to it as Minecraft 2D although this is not a very accurate nomenclature. In the forums it has reached almost the same popularity of Minecraft and over time may equal it or even surpass it. Terraria can be seen as a more difficult game as it has many enemies and huge bosses.

So far it has remained mostly in the IRC and Shypehaus with luci (lucifer in Rena's discord) being the first to create a multiplayer server. Since Terraria is still in an early stage it will probably become more popular over time.

As of July 1st, 2011, the Terraria fad was still popular but not as popular as when it was released a short time ago.
