Sturg
Traversing through the assembly lines in the sawmill is a really cool concept! That's something I don't think I've seen much before, so props for the creativity! Otherwise, the level struggled to find a solid identity. There's this giant parabeetle ride at the start, hammer bros. scattered about, and just a variety of different obstacles that don't really connect with each other very well. It was fun, but overall, not super interesting. Also, the music in the sawmill makes it seem like it's casual friday there or something, haha. This was pretty alright for what I think is a 1st attempt though!
Zatsupachi
That sure was a sawmill. A lot of this level was just "I missed my ride, lemme respawn them." Otherwise this was just a romp, you can bypass all of the hammer bro encounters with a large leap off higher elevations which made them bit trivial.
Rameau's Nephew
The first half doesn't really have much to do with the second half, and doesn't really seem sure what it's going for, besides ticking off the "Para-Beetle" box. The second half has a bit more of an identity with the saws and the wooden planks falling on the conveyer belt, but it feels rather undeveloped, and sticks a generic (if not particularly offensive) line-guided saw bit in the center. It's all over rather quickly, with only the conveyer section leaving any real impression.
+ Conveyer/plank sections have something of a unique identity
- Said sections aren't developed much
- Rest of the level unfocused
Other: What's a saw mill's favorite physicist? Max Planck!
