Sturg
saddened and disappointed that you didn't use Rose Royce's "Car Wash" minus most of your points
(Way to tackle perhaps one of the wackiest terms of the contest! I couldn't help but smile and be charmed by this)
Zatsupachi
Absolutely nothing can kill you in this level except for pits and possibly the Sumo Bros. And that's about it, there's no escalation of difficulty, gimmick or any interesting things happening in this level.
Rameau's Nephew
I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this was the visual representation of a dream.
+ The thud effect at the end was pretty funny.
- Doesn’t have any of those wacky rotating brush things.
Other: Remember, kids, bathing the vehicle in green fire is the most important part of any carwash.
Author's notes
- Captain Wiggly's Airborne Car Wash -
The four gimmick terms I chose are as follows:
- Car Wash (Location)
- aerodynamic (Adjective)
- Wiggler (NPC)
- defeated (additional gimmick term, Adjective)
My level wasn't designed with any specific character in mind, though I did the bulk of my testing as Toad. The level relies a lot on bouncing, so playing as a character that floats when you hold the jump button, like Peach and Klonoa, might be mildly awkward depending on your jump button pressing habits.
