"Ladles and gendarme-men, boils and ghouls, welcome to the Circus of the Diagonal Void, the place where things always go downhill! If you like japes, capers, horseplay and monkey business, sonny, you've come to the right place. Slide up to some of our tents to sample our finest selection of tees, hees, hoos, hahs, and a generous portion of AAAAAAAARGHs!"—Carnival barker Piranha Plant, greeting the player.
Circus in the Diagonal Void is the first tier of levels and bosses in the Make a Good Level X3/Make a Fun Awesome Boss 2 compilation episode. It contains MaGLX3 levels ranked from 152nd to 142nd place, and MaFAB2 bosses ranked 24th and 23rd. It has an outdoor circus theme, with purple and orange tents hosting the contest entries. The player proceeds from left to right on a downwards slope, which wraps diagonally. The player may also latch onto balloon strings, albeit very briefly, to help manuever around the hub.

Death puzzle
To reach the Tier X level, Quest: Reference Humour, the player must slide downwards along the slopes, knocking loose the many cardboard tents that can be found throughout the hub. If one of these tents lands directly on top of the player, they will take damage, and die if they aren't powered up.
